From an early age I was intrigued by the simplicity of form, shades, colours, compositions and found the natural world around me fascinating. To this day, I find my inspiration from simply being an observer - seeing the extraordinary nature of all that is so easily viewed as ordinary.

My journey started in London, where I lived for seven years. Here I bought my first camera. For the first time, I could start capturing all I admired. Living abroad also exposed me to another interest of mine; designer furniture. I was fascinated by British designer Sir Terence Conran, founder of Ikea, Ingvar Kamprad and the work of furniture designers Philippe Starck, Mies van der Rohe and Hans Wegner.

When we returned to South Africa in 2005, I found it difficult to find someone who could print, frame and distribute my photographic work. I decided to start my own printing business:

I sold my images to Weylandts Home store in the same year and have been a supplier to them ever since. I have since worked with many interior decorators, architects, retail stores and corporate companies. Up to date Think Images has sold over 50 000 canvasses nationwide.

In 2011 I felt that we needed to expand the business as we became aware that solid wood furniture was only to be found in antique shops. I wanted to buy simplistic, well crafted, heirloom pieces for my home but could not find any.  The beautifully designed pieces I saw in Belgium, Holland and Germany were just not available. I was given the opportunity to use a gallery space to start the business, which we named:

I N H A B I T C O N C E P T  S T O R E

The combination of teak furniture and photographic wall art turned out to work very well together. Home ware, decor, glassware and ceramic pieces followed.

Moving away from mass production and focusing on what is unique and worth keeping for the rest of your life is what I strive for.  All the furniture are manufactured by a team of qualified carpenters who were trained and are from Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Looking forward to meeting you.
